It may be surprising to learn that much of the research on facial anatomy, facial aging, and facial rejuvenation in the last decade has come out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. John Yousif was the first to describe the association of midface aging with the nasolabial fold, which was published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as the Nasolabial Fold: A Photogrammatic Analysis in 1996.
